ORD NO. 2018-27 RELATING TO THE TIME AND LOCATION OF REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETINGSORDINANCE NO. 2018-27
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, relating
to the time and location of the regular meetings of the City Council.
WHEREAS, RCW 42.30.070 directs the City Council to specify the time for holding its
regular meetings by ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council holds its regular meetings on the first, second, third, and
fourth Tuesday of each month; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the business of the City is best served
by scheduling the start of its regular meetings at 6:00 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE
ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 2.04.010 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
2.04.010 Held when.
The city council shall hold its regular meetings on the first, second, third., and
fourth Tuesday of each month.
Section 2. Section 2.04.020 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
2.04.020 Place.
The meeting place for the city council rear meetings shall be at City Hall in the
City Council Chambers located at 280 Madison Avenue North, Bainbridge Island,
Washington.
Section 3. Section 2.04.030 of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code is hereby amended
to read as follows:
2.04.030 Time.
City council regular meetings shall begin at 7-00 6:00 p.m.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from its passage,
approval, and publication as required by law.
