ORD 2002-03 POLICE INVESTIGATION FUND ORDINANCE No. 2002-03
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND,
WASHINGTON RELATING TO THE PETTY CASH FUND OF
THE CITY, AND ADDING A NEW SECTION 3.10.025 TO THE
BAINBRIDGE ISLAND MUNICIPAL CODE.
WHEREAS, the City has previously used travel advances for investigative
purposes because of limited cash available; and
WHEREAS, the practice of using travel advances for investigative purposes has
complicated both the internal control of those funds and the process of reconciliation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a separate police investigative
fund within the petty cash fund of the City would improve the efficient operation of both
the Public Safety and the Finance and Administrative Services departments; now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
