ORD 2003-45 CORRECTING TERM GROUP HEALTH TO GROUP CARE ORDINANCE NO. 2003-45
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND,
WASHINGTON, CORRECTING THE TEI~VI "GROUP HEALTH"
TO "GROUP CARE" FACLITIES IN THE .ZONING CODE;
AMENDING SECTIONS 18.30.030F, 18.33.030E, AND 18.36.030E OF
THE BAINBRIDGE ISLAND MUNICIPAL CODE.
WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized to modify the City code in accordance
with Washington State laws; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to remove inconsistencies from the current
code; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 2002-38 sets a goal to revise the City code to make the
codes more internally consistent and clear; and
WHEREAS, BIMC 18.30.030F, 18.33.030E, and 18.36.030E erroneously use the
term "group health facility" instead of the defined term "group care facility;" and
WHEREAS, notice was given September 29, 2003, to the Office of Community
Development in conformance with RCW 36.70A. 106; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on October 23,
2003; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommended approval on October 23,
2003; now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 18.30.030F of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code is
amended to read as follows:

Section 2. Section 18.33.030E of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code is
amended to read as follows:
Group ~ care facilities;
Section 3. Section 18.36.030E of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code is
amended to read as follows:

Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force on and five days
after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
