ORD 2004-13 ADOPTING BI PARKS & REC COMPREHENSIVE PLAN 2002-2008ORDINANCE NO. 2004-13
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Bainbridge Island,
Washington, adopting the Bainbridge Island Park and
Recreation District Comprehensive Plan 2002-2008 as
Appendix C of the Capital Facilities Element of the City of
Bainbridge Island Comprehensive Plan.
WHEREAS, the City of Bainbridge Island adopted the Comprehensive Plan on
December 1, 1994;
WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 36.70A, the Growth Management Act, the
City is required to review and update its Comprehensive Plan;
WHEREAS, The City of Bainbridge Island adopted the 1994 Bainbridge Island Park
and Recreation District Comprehensive Plan as Appendix C of the Capital Facilities
Element of the City of Bainbridge Island Comprehensive Plan;
WHEREAS, the Bainbridge Island Park Board held Public Hearings and adopted by
Park District Resolutions 2002-10 and 2002-11, the 2002-2008 Bainbridge Island Park
and Recreation District Comprehensive Plan;

WHEREAS, the City of Bainbridge Island Planning Commission reviewed the 2002-
2008 Bainbridge Island Park and Recreation District Comprehensive Plan on March 28,
2003;
WHEREAS, the City of Bainbridge Island Planning Commission held public hearings
on January 8 and 22, 2004 for the Comprehensive Plan update, including adoption of the
2002-2008 Bainbridge Island Park and Recreation District Comprehensive Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE
ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The 2002-2008 Bainbridge Island Park & Recreation District Comprehensive
Plan is hereby adopted as Appendix C of the Capital Facilities Element of the City of
Bainbridge Island Comprehensive Plan, to replace the existing 1994 Bainbridge Island
Park & Recreation District Comprehensive Plan.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect on and be in force five days from and after its
passage, approval, and publication as required by law.
