\ RESOI,I:TION of the City of Bainbridge Island,
Washington, approving a final plat amendment for
North Town Woods Subdivision (SUBA03-09-01-2)
\%'HFREAS, B1MC Chapter 18.90 requires that affordable dwellings created pursuant to
�.hc rquirements of that chapter remain affordable housing for a period of 30 years from the
ommencement date; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 99-36, passed on November 23, 1999, the City Council
,upended Housing Element Policy H 4.7 of the Comprehensive Plan to replace the 30 -year
home ownership affordability requirement with an alternative mechanism; and
1111 [F REAS, the City Council passed Resolution 99-39 on December 22, 1999, adopting
ante im administrative regulations for implementing Ordinance 99-36; and
'AA IERF: AS, several developers and owners of lots planned for the construction of
1I101,lahle housing units or prepared land use applications for submittal to the City based on the
ulo,,tcd intenm administrative regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council passed Ordinance 2000-40 on November 29, 2000, to
dlkw developers and owners who submitted completed land use applications by September
'S. 1-000 to utilize the alternative mechanism provided by Ordinance 99-36 if they so choose;

WHEREAS, utilizing the alternative mechanism requires an alteration of subdivision
pursuant to RCW 58 17; and
WHEREAS, in response to Ordinance 2000-40, the owner of North Town Woods
Suhar, ision submitted a final plat amendment application to the Department of Planning and
t ommunity Dccelopment, and
\VlIERF.AS, the Department of Planning and Community Development reviewed and
io v mied its recommendation for approval to the City Council; now therefore,

Section 4_ The City Clerk is authorized and directed to file the original of the amended

�uicnded final plat (containing the Kitsap County Auditor's recording number) with the City
crk, the Citv Engineer. the Kitsap County Assessor and the applicant.
