RES 2001-57 RE-EVALUATION OF DECANT FACILITY SITE SELECTIONRESOLUTION NO. 2001-57 A RESOLUTION of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, Directing staff to reevaluate the Decant Facility site selection including consideration of new sites and methods. WHEREAS, the City Public Works Department has considered the construction of a Decant Facility on City property located on the southeast corner of New Brooklyn Road and Sportsman Club Road (hereinafter "the Site"); and WHEREAS, the City Public Works Department has convened a public meeting to receive public comment on the proposed location of the Decant Facility at the Site; and WHEREAS, the City Public Works Department, the City Council Public Works Committee and the City Council have all received public comment on the proposed location of the Decant Facility at the Site; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The proposed use of City property located at the southeast corner of New Brooklyn Road and Sportsman Club Road, or any portion of said property, as or for a Decant Facility is hereby removed from additional consideration until June 1, 2002. Section 2. The City Public Works Department is directed to consider other sites for, and/or alternatives to, the proposed Decant Facility in accordance with the process outlined in PF2.1 of the Comprehensive Plan.
