RES 2003-15 KITSAP COUNTY-WIDE PLANNING POLICIESRESOLUTION 2003-15
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Bainbridge
Island, Washington, recommending approval of the Kitsap County-
wide Planning Policies.
WH REAS, the Growth Management Act (GMA), RCW36.70A, requires that each
county pl ing under GMA adopt county -wide planning policies to be used as a framework
from which ounty and city comprehensive plans are developed and adopted; and
WH REAS, in May, 1992, the Kitsap Regional Planning Council, made up of elected
officials oft ie county, cities, and tribes of Kitsap County, adopted the first county -wide planning
policies pur uant to GMA; and
WH REAS, the Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council (formerly Kitsap Regional
Planning Council) initiated revisions to the county -wide planning policies through multi -
jurisdiction collaboration including planning staff, planning commissioners, and council

ISLAND, NYASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
Secti n 1. The City Council of the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, recommends
adoption of the February 25, 2003, proposed revisions to the Kitsap County -wide Planning
Policies that were adopted by Kitsap County Ordinance #258-01.
