RES 2003-47 SURPLUS CITY EQUIPMENTRESOLUTION NO. 200347
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Bainbridge
Island, Washington, relating to the City's sale and disposal of
surplus City personal property.
WHEREAS, the scheduled replacement of City owned and operated vehicles
generates personal surplus property; and
WHEREAS, the fair market value of each surplus vehicle determines disposal
methods used, and
WHEREAS, the personal property identified on Attachment 1 shall be disposed of
through the State of Washington General Administration's Surplus property program and/or to a
local public entity, and
WHEREAS, the personal property identified on Attachment 2 shall be used as
trade-in credit for the replacement backhoe authorized and acquired in the 2003 budget, now
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF BAINBRIDGE ISLAND
WASHINGTON, as follows:
1. All revenue generated by the sale of the surplus equipment listed on Attachment 1 shall be
returned to the fund category in which it was purchased.
2. The trade-in value of the surplus equipment listed on Attachment 2 is $18,500 and shall be
applied to the purchase of the replacement backhoe authorized and acquired in the 2003
budget.
