RES 2003-10 OVERTIME PARKING PUBLIC INFORMATION & EDUCATION PROGRAMRESOLUTION NO. 2003-10
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of
Bainbridge Island, Washington, relating to the overtime parking
fines ordinance (Ordinance No. 2003-06) establishing a public
information and education program
WHEREAS, the City and the Parking Advisory Committee have work collaboratively to
provide adequate parking to residents and customers doing business in the Winslow business
district; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that provisions contained in the overtime parking
fines ordinance will help to manage the use of public parking on the island; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that provisions contained in the overtime parking
fines ordinance will require adherence to the specific duration of parking periods as posted in the
parking area to accommodate the daily parking traffic; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that the new overtime parking fines ordinance
(Ordinance No. 2003-06) will effect most City residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
BAINBRIDGE ISLAND WASHINGTON, as follows:
1) Between the time Ordinance 2003-06 is adopted and the effective date of May 5,
2003, the City will conduct a public information and education program to inform
citizens about the overtime parking fines ordinance.
