1. Hydraulic fluid level inspected (should be about 2 inches from top)
2. Tires properly inflated
3. Emergency brake works
4. Wheel chocks w/ truck
5. Hoses inspected
6. Controls operate properly
7. Check boom, bucket, and turret for damage
8. Frame and mounting hardware
9. Decks, steps, and walking surfaces clean and clear
10. Pins and pin retainers
11. Bucket, bucket liner, and attachments
12. Bucket cradle (where bucket sits)
13. Warning devices and stickers work and legible
14. Fall protection and attachment points
15. Operators manual in truck
16. Annual inspection completed within 12 months
17. Insulated boom tested within 12 months
If an unsafe condition is found, do not operate the bucket truck. Notify the Supervisor, Tech III, and
Mechanic of the problem. They will arrange to repair or replace the equipment. Red tag the steering
wheel of the truck to warn others not to operate the equipment per Lock out/tag out procedures.
